SPECIFICATIONS:
• A unique new idea in energy savings and management. The Luma- sense is a motion sensing bi-level vandal-resistant luminaire. It incor- porates Mercury Lighting’s latest technology, OSS/advanced occupancy sensing system. Compact design complies with all ADA requirements for public areas. Now available for linear T5 and HO-T5  uorescent light sources.
• Stairwells and similar low traf c public areas in commercial and residential buildings require lighting round the clock for safety and security. In reality, the occupancy of these areas can be nearly zero. The OSS technology provides a very low stand-by level of illumination. It uses an extremely sensitive ultrasonic occupancy sensor to detect any movement. It will even sense a stairwell door opening, where upon the luminaire instantly increases to full brightness. After occu- pancy is no longer detected the luminaire returns to the low stand-by level.
• The Lumasense is available with optional emergency battery back up to further  ll the requirements for emergency egress from buildings. Emergency components are fully guarded inside the vandal-resistant luminaire. Various lumen output packages are available to meet state and municipal building and  re codes.
• The Lumasense with OSS technology is available with four different operating systems.
• System One: Programmed start 0-10Volt 2-lamp T5 dimming ballast 14W-T5 or 28W-T5 lamps only. Low voltage high frequency ultrasonic occupancy sensor internally mounted with a 24V power pack. Stand-by level power board internally mounted and factory set to 20%, 40%, or 60%. (+/- 5% due to line voltage variations.) Can be  eld reset to any of these levels or reset to 100%. This will be the output of the two lamps in stand-by mode. When movement is detected the luminaire instantly increases to full brightness.
• System Two: Programmed start 0-10Volt 2-lamp T5 dimming ballast 14W-T5 or 28W-T5 lamps only. Low voltage high frequency ultrasonic occupancy sensor internally mounted with a 24V power pack. Stand- by mode will be 5% output of the two lamps. When movement is de- tected the luminaire instantly increases to full brightness.
• System Three: Two individual programmed start 1-lamp T5 or HO- T5 ballasts. Low voltage high frequency ultrasonic occupancy sensor internally mounted with a 24V power pack. One ballast operates one- lamp at 100% output. The other ballast operates the other lamp in an off stand-by mode. When movement is detected this ballast instantly increases lamp to full brightness. After occupancy is no longer detected this ballast returns lamp to it’s off stand-by level.
• System Four: Programmed start 2-lamp T5 or HO-T5 ballast. Low voltage high frequency ultrasonic occupancy sensor internally mounted with a 24V power pack. Ballast operates both lamps in an off stand-by mode. When movement is detected this ballast instantly increases lamps to full brightness. After occupancy is no longer de- tected this ballast returns lamps to the off stand-by level.

Fixture Type: Job Information:
• Housing: Fabricated from 20GA cold rolled steel with all internal steel parts riveted or screwed together. End caps are 16GA with a 5/8” drawn perimeter  ange to securely overlap diffusers. Finished with a high quality white powder coating.
• Diffusers: Two diffusers per each luminaire are extruded from high impact acrylic with 50% DR added. Optional 100% DR available for added security. Diffusers are clear with internal linear prisms for brightness control.
• Lamps/Lengths: Two-lamp cross sections, T5 or HO-T5 linear  uo- rescent. 2Ft/14W-T5 or 24W-HO-T5; 4Ft/28W-T5 or 54W-HO-T5.
• Systems One and Two Ballast: Two-lamp electronic dimming ballast, 14W-T5 or 28W-T5, programmed start, high power factor, THD less than 10%. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ. Minimum starting temperature 50F.
• System Three Ballasts: Two individual programmed start 1-lamp T5 or HO-T5 ballasts. High power factor, THD less than 10%. Multi-volt oper- ates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ. Minimum starting tem- perature 32F.
• SystemFourBallast:Two-lampprogrammedstartT5orHO-T5bal- lasts, high power factor, THD less than 10%. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ. Minimum starting temperature 32F.
• Occupancy Sensor: Watt Stopper FS-505 or equal, 40kHz ultrasonic sen- sor. Powered by a 24V internal power pack. Field adjustable time delay; 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes. Field adjustable sensitivity. 72-hour lamp burn- in function.
• System One Power Board: Automatically dims ballast to factory set 20, 40, or 60% level. Can be  eld reset.
• Installations: Surface mounts individually, ceiling or wall orientation. Maximum mounting height off  oor is 8ft for proper sensor operation. Obstructions such as exit signs can possibly impede proper sensor op- eration. Knockouts and four 1⁄4” mounting holes for secure anchoring. On request, row mounting, surface conduit entry, and surface mount junc- tion box set-ups available.

• It has been reported from the  eld that certain brand T5 and HO- T5 lamps do not operate properly in  xtures with emergency battery backup. Please inquire from factory for the most up-to-date list of acceptable lamps when using emergency backup options.
